Manhattan’s Lower East Side – The Real Housewives Of New York City’s Zarin Fabrics

New York City’s Lower East Side was traditionally an immigrant, working class neighborhood. But it has undergone rapid gentrification into a “hipster” hood in recent years, and is now home to trendy dining establishments along the area’s Clinton Street restaurant row and upscale shopping boutiques.

I’m a big reality show junkie, as seen here and here, so I was surprised to see one of these Manhattan boutiques was called Zarin Fabrics (located at 314 Grand Street, between Orchard & Allen Streets) from The Real Housewives of New York City. On the show, Jill & Bobby Zarin own and work at this Lower East Side home furnishing warehouse and fabric store. Although they’re called “reality” shows I never really believe much that occurs on these entertaining episodes, so I was even more amazed to see the store indeed exists 😉
