My husband strained his neck on the first day of our 10-day stay at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa on the Big Island of Hawaii. To alleviate his affliction, I was able to book him a sports massage appointment for first thing the following day at the resort’s on-site spa. Sheraton’s Ho’ola Spa is a luxury spa with plenty of pampering and relaxing treatments:
As the historical playground of Hawaii’s royalty, Keauhou has long been known as a place to rejuvenate and revitalize the spirit. This tradition of healing is nurtured at Ho’ola Spa. The Hawaiian word, ho’ola, means to heal. Hawaii’s unique cultural and healing traditions are incorporated into services such as massage, facial and body treatments.
A very knowledgeable registered massage therapist worked on Gary’s shoulders, back and neck to effectively relieve his discomfort. Best of all? His massage table was situated on the spa’s outside lanai–right on the ocean–so instead of listening to a recording of soothing waves crashing on a beach, he heard the real thing! Feeling the warm ocean breezes and the sweet smell of tropical flowers added to Ho’ola Spa’s calming ambiance and made for an effective and luxurious massage.
