The Glass House Restaurant at Hotel Fort Canning Singapore

Located in Singapore’s Hotel Fort Canning, The Glass House restaurant offers tantalizing Asian cuisine served with a contemporary twist. It boasts a stylish modern interior with floor-to-ceiling glass walls designed to maximize picturesque views of the lush greenery of Fort Canning Park, including its magnificent almost a century-year-old heritage trees.

This modern Southeast Asian bistro offers an all-day dining menu that features dishes inspired by different parts of this region, including Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and of course Singapore.

A popular hot snack or mini appetizer, Mixed Seafood Pie Tee are thin, crispy cups filled with pan-seared bay shrimp and scallops.

Signature main dishes range from Fried Mee Siam with Boston Lobster to Singapore Laksa (both pictured above) and Thai Style Prawn Bolognaise Pizza. We thoroughly enjoyed the Nasi Goreng with its spicy kick and bold, authentic flavours.

Traditional handmade bamboo tiffins, reminiscent of Singapore’s history and home-spun style, are utilized to deliver meals to guests who order 24-hour in-room dining or request to dine by the swimming pools.

In addition to local cuisine, The Glass House offers a few western dishes on the menu to cater to more timid eaters – they make an excellent clubhouse sandwich! We had the chance to experience both the Asian and western fare on four separate occasions – twice at buffet breakfast, once by the pool and once for room service – and each time the food was delicious.
