Monkey Beach (Ao Ling) Phi Phi Island Thailand

Monkey Beach, also known as Ao Ling, is popular stop on Phi Phi Islands, Thailand tours. As its name implies, local macaques that inhabit the area enjoy accepting bananas from tourists and amusing visitors with their antics. Nestled in a cove north-west of Loh Dalam Bay, onĀ Koh Phi Phi Don, the macaques on Monkey Beach are very playful and see quite tame as they have no fear of humans. However, these monkeys are wild and can become aggressive if they don’t get what they want – bananas! Keep your belongings close because the monkeys have been known to snatch whatever they can get their little hands on. Monkey Beach is a worthwhile stop during your visit to the beautiful Phi Phi Islands!
