We recently stayed at one of the newest and most luxurious hotels in all of British Columbia, the Fairmont Pacific Rim. Situated in the heart of Vancouver’s financial district, this grand five star hotel fronts one of the city’s premier addresses on Canada Place. Fairmont Pacific Rim’s convenient downtown location makes it the ideal platform to explore everything the beautiful city has to offer. This sophisticated world-class hotel combines the best of the Pacific Rim in its culinary offerings and design.
Fantastic cuisine options include fine dining in ORU Restaurant (which we were also hosted at), Italian-inspired deli, café + winebar Giovane (read our review here), and live entertainment in The Lobby Lounge. Feel like dining in the comforts of your own room? Unsurprisingly, this cosmopolitan hotel offers 24-hour room service to satisfy late night cravings.
Satiated from all the delicious fare and looking to relax? Experience the Willow Stream Spa, full fitness centre, and sit in the lap of luxury on the outdoor terrace, complete with jacuzzis and meditation pods. Swim in the rooftop pool and lounge the day away in private cabanas.
Designed with premium standards and amenities, the 377-room hotel features guestrooms with lavish appointments, naturally inspired materials, comfortable furnishings and state-of-the-art technology. Exquisite accommodations provide everything needed to work and relax. Spacious and contemporary, the room features all the amenities that are certainly expected from a Fairmont hotel, such as a surround-sound wall-mounted 42” LCD television and a sumptuously comfortable Stearns & Foster king sized bed with Mascioni fine linens, and some things that will surprise and delight: The gorgeous marble spa bathroom with soaker tub includes a television-mirror! Bath products by Le Labo, New York are a lovely touch of elegance, while plush his & hers terrycloth robes are a welcomed comfort after an indulgent bath salt laden soak.
A Nespresso machine (similar to the one we reviewed here and gave away in our contest) and pods are conveniently provided (as is milk and cream in the fully stocked refreshment bar) to enjoy a leisurely morning espresso with beautiful scenery. Press the electronic curtains and take in a spectacular panoramic view of the North Shore Mountains, Stanley Park and Coal Harbour.
Here’s a brief video overview that we captured of our room on the 16th floor:
Having both previously worked at five star hotels as well as dined and stayed at some of the top luxury hotels in the world (Shangri-La, Jumeirah properties, numerous Starwood resorts, other Fairmonts, etc.), you could say we have high expectations. However, we were not disappointed with our Fairmont Pacfic Rim experience. We would highly recommend this hotel because the Fairmont Pacific Rim’s design, service standards and culinary offerings will impress the most discerning traveler.
Special thanks to Judy Leung from Westbank and the Fairmont Pacific Rim for our unforgettable stay!
